About Speekit

Hi there!

We are Kevin and Aaron and we are the creators of Speekit as well as the hosts of the popular Happy Hour Japan podcast. We are avid language and culture enthusiasts and we created Speekit out of our own frustrations with learning Japanese.

In creating Speekit, we consulted with language acquisition experts, drew from our own experiences, and built the site from the ground-up ourselves.

One of the most important and unique things about this service is cultural relevance. Unlike many other language learning systems, our lessons are built around media taken in the country itself. We also cover situations that you are most likely to encounter while traveling.
