When taking the quiz, it doesn't change pictures to enter the proper answer?

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the confusion! We just updated the quiz feature based on the feedback we got from a lot of members. If you move your mouse to the top of the picture in quiz mode, thumbnail images will appear so that you can quickly navigate to the photo you're looking for. To see it in action, check out our new demo video (the quiz demo is about 1/2 way through the video): Improved quiz and demo video

for 'ryo', try saying rios or oreos really really fast. drop the o in oreos when you get the 'ryo' sound.

Whaaa! How on earth do you get 5 out of 5 points? haha does it have to all be only 1 second? But also must say the quizzes are really fun <3 I love that you have to listen to the words rather than read them....I find I have had a harder time in the past learning from listening and had an easier time reading the hiragana and katakana. So it's great to work on my listening skills, since that's what is really going to count in communicating with people. :D

I just curious...are there any Japanese words written in romanji available for these courses that maybe I could print or download? I can hear the sound, but I also like to know how to spell the words properly in romanji as well. Or, maybe it could be put in the pop-up boxes for the pictures along with the other ways to spell/write it?

@mooneyes1983, if you click the "+" button on the top left corner of the photo, you can turn romaji on and off. Hope this helps!

Sometimes when taking the quizzes the time will be half over before the word is said. I know that it is not my internet connection today since everything else is running smoothly. Is there anything that I can do to make that less likely to happen? It makes it a bit more difficult to learn new words.
